Nokia podała swoje wyniki za IV kw. 2012 r. Kwartalna sprzedaż koncernu zmalała do 10 mld euro (o 21%). Firma zanotowała stratę operacyjną w wysokości 954 mln euro. Ilościowo sprzedaż telefonów komórkowych spadła o 8% do 113 mln. Sprzedaż smartfonów osiągnęła poziom 19.6 mln sztuk (spadek o 31%), a sprzedaż zwykłych telefonów spadła o 1% do 93.9%. Średnie zatrudnienie Nokii w 2011 r. wynosiło 134 171 pracowników, w porównaniu do 130 050 osób zatrudnionych na koniec 2011 r.
