IDC podało dane dotyczące sprzedaży tabletów w IV kw. 2014 r. Sprzedaż tabletów i urządzeń 2-in-1 w IV kw. osiągnęła poziom 76.1 mln sztuk. W całym 2014 r. sprzedano 229.6 mln tego typu urządzeń (wzrost o 4.4%). Liderem tego rynku pozostaje Apple, który w IV kw. sprzedał 21.4 mln tabletów (28.1% rynku). Samsung sprzedał w tym okresie 11 mln tabletów. Według IDC, numerem 5 światowego rynku tabletów jest Amazon.
